Lower fees, faster transactions, and built to be seamlessly interoperable and decentralized – Unichain is now here.
We know you’ve been waiting for it. With 95 million transactions and over 14.7 million smart contracts deployed by the community on Testnet in less than four months, we couldn't be more excited to have Unichain out in the world.
Nearly 100 of the most loved crypto products and protocols are already building on Unichain – including Uniswap, Circle, Coinbase, Lido, and Morpho. Many are going live today, with more rolling out in the coming weeks. All these apps mean you can do and launch just about anything on Unichain.
What you can do on Unichain today
Users and developers can build on and use the growing ecosystem of DeFi apps and tools on Unichain.
For Developers:
- Start deploying apps: Check out the Unichain docs to get started.
- Create v4 hooks: Create custom logic for swapping and LPing with Uniswap v4 on Unichain.
- Build with stablecoins: Explore USDC and CCTP and integrate stablecoins into your app.
For Users:
- Fund your wallet: Move assets onto Unichain using a bridge, through the Uniswap web app or wallet, or by onramping with providers like Coinbase, Topper, or Transak.
- Launch a token: Use a token launcher on Unichain or deploy a contract manually.
- Play with new apps: Look out for new projects deploying to Unichain in the coming weeks. New apps will be added to the Unichain integrations page.
- Swap and provide liquidity: Access Uniswap v2, v3, and v4 through the Uniswap web app and in the latest version of the wallet.
Unichain is designed for DeFi
Prioritizing decentralization from day one
Uniswap Labs prioritizes open, permissionless, decentralized infrastructure. That’s why Unichain is launching as a Stage 1 rollup, featuring a fully functioning proof system that supports permissionless fault proofs. Soon, the Unichain Validation Network (UVN) will let anyone run a UVN node and verify blocks, further decentralizing the chain.
Seamless cross-chain transactions
Transactions across every chain should just work. Uniswap Labs has been innovating towards interoperability through standards like ERC-7683 ‒ making transactions cheap, secure, and fast across the EVM and beyond. Unichain is also built on the Superchain, and will support native interoperability when it goes live later this year, enabling single-block message passing across the Superchain. Future upgrades will continue to improve block speed and finality, helping make cross-chain transactions as efficient as possible.
Fast and cheap, and that’s just the beginning
Onchain markets perform best with fast block times and low fees – that’s exactly what Unichain delivers. With 1-second block times and gas costs ~95% lower than Ethereum L1 transactions, Unichain makes DeFi faster, cheaper, and more efficient. And this is just the start. Upcoming upgrades like TEE-based block building will allow for 250 millisecond effective block times and will enforce priority ordering, boosting market efficiency and lowering value lost to MEV. The Unichain Validation Network will also enable further decentralization and faster finality.
The DeFi renaissance is here
Swappers and liquidity providers, start using Unichain with Uniswap v2, v3, or v4 in the Uniswap web app and in the latest version of the wallet. Developers, dive into the docs and start deploying.
